Materials

• YarnArt Jeans yarn: white (01), black (53), orange (61), dark pink (42), peach (43), pink (36) • 2.5 mm crochet hook
• 5 mm safety eyes • Some wire (diameter: 2.0 mm)
• Fiberfill
• Sewing needle, scissors, wire cutter and round nose pliers
Height: 9 cm (3.5”)

Abbreviations

R-row ch – chain
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
popcorn st – popcorn stitch (3dc popcorn)
dc – double crochet
inc – increase (2 sc in one stitch)
dec – decrease (2 sc together)
FLO – front loop only
[…] – number of stitches you should have at the end of the row
(…) – repeat whatever is between the brackets the given number of times

AMIGURUMI FLAMINGO FREE CROCHET PATTERN

Head

With orange yarn:
R 1: 5 sc in magic ring [5]
R 2: (inc) repeat 5 times [10]
R 3: (1 sc, inc) repeat 5 times [15]
R 4: 1 sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) repeat 4 times, 1 sc [20]
R 5-8: 20 sc (4 rows)

Insert safety eyes between R 6 and R 7 at the distance of 6 st in between the eyes.
R 9: 1 sc, dec, (2 sc, dec) repeat 4 times, 1 sc [15]
R 10: (1 sc, dec) repeat 5 times [10]
R 11: (dec) repeat 5 times [5]
Stuff with fiberfill.
Fasten off.

Beak

With black yarn:
R 1: 4 sc in magic ring [4]
R 2: 4 sc [4]
Switch to white yarn:
R3: (inc) repeat 4 times [8]
R 4-5: 8 sc (2 rows)
Don’t stuff with fiberfill.
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Insert the wire into the beak.
Sew the beak between the eyes. Shape the beak with your hands.

Neck

Leave a long end at the start for sewing to the head.
With orange yarn:
R 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
R 2-12: 6 sc (11 rows)
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Insert the wire into the neck.

Body

With orange yarn:
R 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
R 2: (inc) 6 np (12)
R 3: (1 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
R 4: 1 sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) repeat 5 times, 1 sc (24)
R 5-8: 24 sc (4 rows)
R 9: 1 sc, dec, (2 sc, dec) repeat 5 times, 1 sc [18]

Stuff with fiberfill.
R 10-11: 18 sc (2 rows)
R 12: 2 dec, 14 sc (16)
R 13: 2 dec, 12 sc (14)

Finish stuffing.

Wings (make 2)

Leave a long end at the start for sewing to the body.

Insert the wire into the leg. Make loop at the end of the wire (in foot).
Fasten off.
