This is an easy amigurumi heart pattern written in a clear and accessible format using basic stitches only. It is suitable for crocheters who are comfortable with basic amigurumi techniques and prefer relaxing projects without complex shaping. The pattern is designed using 2 mm micro velvet (microvelour) yarn for a smooth and soft finish, while regular plush yarns such as Himalaya Dolphin Baby can be used to create a larger and chunkier version of the same design. Description

Using this pattern, you can crochet a small heart with wings.
Both the heart and the wings are crocheted with the same yarn.
Thin velvet (microvelour) yarn with a thickness of 2 mm is recommended.
You may substitute it with regular plush yarn such as Himalaya Dolphin Baby, but the finished toy will be larger.
The heart can also be used as a keychain.

Heart (make 2 pieces)

R1: 6 sc in MR
R2: 6 inc (12)
R3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
R4: (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)

R6–R7: 30 sc (2 rounds)

Fasten off and cut the yarn on the first piece.
Make the second piece the same, do not cut the yarn.

Joining the Pieces

Important: The heart is formed by joining two identical pieces. After joining, continue crocheting in the round as one piece.

R8: Join both pieces and work 4 sc through both layers, continue along the second piece with 26 sc, move to the first piece and work 26 sc. Continue crocheting in the round

Wings

Ch 4. Starting from the second ch from the hook: 3 sc.
Turn the work, ch 1, 3 sc, ch 3.
Turn. Starting from the second ch from the hook: 2 sc into the chain, then 3 sc along the wing.
Turn, ch 1, 5 sc along the wing, ch 4.
Turn. Starting from the second ch from the hook: 3 sc into the chain, then 5 sc along the wing.
Next, work 3 sc evenly along the side edge of the wing (in the spots marked with dots in the diagram).
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Sew the wings to the sides of the heart.
